At around 8:45pm, police started charging at the protesters on Tai Wo Tai Po road and arrested a few people. The police formed a defense line pushing westward where s few protesters retreaed to. pic.twitter.com/ol3RxA3nfs
"Isn't this good?" An elderly lady living in Tai Po said to the riot police after she won her victory by asking the police to leave the protesters alone. Police cleared hundreds of protesters with a fifth around of tear gas towards the west of Tai Po Tai Wo road at 7pm. At 4ish, a riot police had the gun ready near Tai Po Mega Mall after the first tear gas fired. Police said protesters were not calm with bricks on their side and wanted to move forward.
